Owner/Co-Founder

Steve Szaszy, owner and cofounder of Action Physical Therapy, earned his Master's degree in Physical Therapy from California State University, Fresno, in 2000.  In 2003, he enhanced his expertise with a certification in pathoneurodynamics, which he completed at Stanford Hospital.

Steve has also taken several manual therapy courses from the Institute of Physical Art (IPA) and uses their philosophy in his treatment approach.  Steve uses Functional Mobilization (FM), founded by Gregg Johnson, to treat his patients which encompasses both Soft Tissue and Myofascial Release followed by Neuromuscular Re-education (NMR) to strengthen in the new range of motion gained by the patient.

Steve's unique perspective as a manual therapist allows for comprehensive care by combining a customized "hands-on" approach with cutting edge knowledge and resources. He firmly believes that whether rehabilitating from a work-related or sports-related injury or dealing with an ongoing debilitating illness, his role is to educate and empower his patients so that they can play an active role in their recovery.

Steve also provides physical therapy services through Adobe Home Health.

Steve is a native of the Monterey Peninsula. He currently lives in Salinas with his wife and three children. He is an avid sports fan and an outdoor enthusiast. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, hiking, camping and going to the beach.


Aimee Hibino, MPT

Aimee Hibino, MPT

Aimee is a 1997 graduate of California State University, Fresno, with a Bachelor's degree in Health Science with an emphasis in Community Health, and a Master's degree in Physical Therapy.  Aimee has worked on the Monterey Peninsula for twelve years in home health, acute care and out-patient therapy settings.  She is certified and specializes in vestibular therapy for vertigo, dizziness and balance disorders.  Aimee is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Aimee enjoys running, competing in triathlons, and spending quality time with her family.
